The Cellar Gym sent six competitors, along with Professor Mauricio Carra, to represent Checkmat Minneapolis. Three took home a gold in their divisions, including Kenn Glenn (1st place Brown Belt, Masters 1 Heavyweight Nogi & 2nd place Gi), Andy Young (1st place, Blue Belt Adult Heavyweight Gi & 2nd place Nogi), and Rob Shmidt (1st place, Blue Nogi). In addition, Lemmy Sturua took 3rd place in his Black Belt Gi division, J.D. Stevenson took 3rd in his Blue Belt Gi division, and Patrick Kelly took 3rd place in Purple Belt Nogi. Congratulations to everyone for their excellent performance in Chicago!
