Grappling Industries: May 2024

The Cellar team had another successful day at Grappling Industries on May 11th! Our athletes showed up, had fun, and brought home some well-deserved hardware. Here’s a recap of our standout performances:

Lowell went 9-1, showcasing dominance with scores like 18-0 and 22-0, only falling short to a tough opponent in a nail-biting match.

Ben Postman conquered 3 divisions, clinching 3 medals with a 6-2 record. His strategic approach paid off, earning him well-deserved victories.

Liam fought hard, demonstrating solid wrestling skills and immense heart throughout his matches.

Daniel displayed significant improvement in his bottom guard game, executing impressive sweeps and submission attempts.

Avery, in her second tournament at the Grey belt level, showcased resilience and skill, securing a win by armbar after some closely contested matches.

Basil emerged victorious with a 4-1 record, claiming gold in the Grey Belt bracket. His dominance was evident with two wins by submission and a hard-fought rematch for the gold.

Benny exhibited toughness in all his matches, displaying remarkable defense and improvement throughout the day. Each match was a learning experience, and he showed incredible growth.
