We traveled with a team of four juniors and one adult fighter to the TBA Tournament of Champions, held for the first time in Los Angeles on September 26th & 27th. Our team went 3-3 on the weekend, and returned home with two championship belts!

Brandon S. won both his fights by TKO after dominant performances in both bouts. He fought with excellent forward aggression, strong boxing, and mean knees. He brings home the Boys’ Novice Atomweight Championship belt. Congratulations!

Lana L. had a tough fight in the finals! Lana WANTED this win and she pushed the pace every second. She even landed a sweet sidekick to the face in the last few minutes of the fight and her right hand never missed. Lana secures the Girls’ Novice Bantamweight championship. Hats off to her opponent!

Nico P. dropped a decision in the finals but he looked amazing out there! He fought hard and we could tell he was having a blast. He has grown so much in his last couple fights and we cannot wait for him to continue to grow.

Luna P. lost today after taking a hard body shot and was unable to answer the count. This one hurts because of how much work Luna has been putting in at the gym in her own training and helping others as youth team captain. She looked fantastic out there and sometimes this is just how the fight game ends up. We know this is not the end for her and we cannot wait until her day comes! Until the next one!

Hunter T. had a great fight and showed a lot of skill and determination but ended up losing a decision in the semifinals. We are so proud of his effort and heart.

This tournament was a super fun experience, fighting gyms that we don’t get to see often in the Midwest! Although only one coach could make it, the team stepped up and helped each other out. Every person on this team and parents helped and that’s what it’s all about. This community is something special!
