It was a very good weekend for The Cellar’s BJJ students who competed at the spring St. Croix Valley Grappling Games in Hudson, WI. We only had 4 participants competing at this event, but all four performed tremendously; we even took home both the Men’s and Women’s Absolute Gi divisions. Lauren Tomcheck competed in her very first grappling tournament and won 2nd place in gi and 3rd place in no-gi. Jon Jones also competed in his first tournament and battled through a huge division to capture 2nd in gi. Pam Sorenson continued her wining ways taking 1st in gi, second in no-gi, and stepped things up a notch by wining the Women’s Absolute gi division! Rob Klink took home first place in the Men’s purple belt division and also won the Men’s Absolute division!

In the end, our 4 participants took home 6 medals plus 2 Absolute division championships. Congratulations everybody!
