Chris Cichon, owner and head trainer at The Cellar Gym, has been named Coach for Team USA Kickboxing at the Uganda vs USA event taking place September 6th in Kampala, Uganda, Africa. The main event features an exciting bout between Moses Golola (Uganda) and Richard Abraham (USA).

Cichon has been a part of Team USA Kickboxing since 2009 and competed internationally with Team USA in Poland, England, Italy, Ireland, and Brazil. Over the past two years Cichon has focused his energies more towards coaching and during the 2013 World Championships in Brazil, Cichon actually split time between coaching and competing.

Fighting for Team USA in Uganda will be Richard Abraham. Abraham has fought professionally for the past few years and has also spent time competing in Thailand. He is the first American to fight, and win in the new Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. He was also a member of Team USA Kickboxing that competed in Moscow, Russia earlier this year. Rich is based out of Chicago, IL and is a friend of Chris Cichon. The two have trained together and Rich taught a Muay Thai seminar at The Cellar Gym earlier this year.

Also joining Cichon and Abraham in Uganda will be WAKO USA Vice President, Justin Whiley and WKF USA President, Ric Sniffen. This will be a great event for USA Kickboxing as it brings WAKO and the WKF closer together.
