We are very excited to announce that The Cellar’s Antonio Dvorak and Ian Greer have been selected to compete as part of Team USA at the 2015 International Federation of Muay Thai Amateur (IFMA) Royal World Cup in Bangkok, Thailand August 12-23. Both Antonio and Ian were contacted and sent formal invitations after winning their respective divisions at the 2015 Muay Thai Classic in Des Moines, IA.

This tournament is the equivalent to the Olympics of Muay Thai. The tournament has participants from 60+ countries and previous winners include Muay Thai greats such as Artem Levin, Yodsanklai Fairtex, and Joanna Jedrzejczyk to name a few.

Just to be named to to the team is a huge honor with fighters/coaches coming from across the USA. However, because this is an amateur tournament, the participants need to cover their own travel expenses and it’s not cheap. The flight to Thailand, accommodations, food, registration fee, and other expenses total more than $3,000/fighter.
