The Cellar Gym Muay Thai team traveled to Des Moines, IA last weekend, January 15, to compete at the Muay Thai Development League (MDL) technical sparring scrimmage event. This event provided a great opportunity for novice fighters and sparring-level students to get valuable experience competing against students from other gyms, in a controlled environment and in front of professional judges.

We had nine athletes compete at the MDL, and it was amazing to see these students grow and learn with each and every round of competition. This event was a great, positive experience for everyone, and we can’t wait until the next one!
