Steve Merth Gets Huge Win in Burnsville

The Cellar’s Steve Merth returned to action for the first time in 3 years Saturday night at the High Five Bar & Grill as he took on local prospect, Ben Neumann, in the main event of Havoc at the High Five. Neumann is a fantastic jiu jitsu fighter, but Steve was able to fend off Ben’s submissions, stuff everyone of his takedown attempts, and land significant strikes on his feet and on the ground en-route to a unanimous decision, 30-27 win on all three judges score cards. Congratulations Steve and thanks to all of our fans for coming out to support him!

Merth has not lost any of his wrestling chops. His takedown defense was flawless, and each time Neumann shot for a takedown, Merth stuffed it…In the end, the fight went the distance, but it was a dominating return to the cage for Merth, who improved to 7-1 with a unanimous-decision win (30-27 on all three cards).Ben Pherson | www.MNMMANews.com
