The Cellar Gym was honored to host Robert Drysdale for a special BJJ and No-Gi grappling seminar on Sunday October 13. Robert Drysdale is arguably the World’s greatest submission artist being a 6x World Champion, ADCC Absolute Champion, and current UFC fighter. He is also an amazingly talented and articulate instructor. Robert taught several of his favorite techniques from the lasso guard in gi and the shell guard in no-gi. He also opened up the floor for Q & A and helped answer questions that participants had with a variety of positions, techniques, training theories, etc. The seminars were attended by many members of The Cellar’s BJJ and No-Gi/MMA programs as well as students from 5-6 other gyms in the Twin Cities area.

The Cellar Gym is an affiliate school of Robert Drysdale and the Drysdale Jiu Jitsu Association. BJJ and No-Gi classes at The Cellar are taught by BJJ Black Belt and 2x World Champion, Marcelo Nunes. Marcelo was a student of Robert Drysdale for many years in São Paulo, Brazil and he teaches a very similar style as his world champion teacher and mentor.
