Antonio Dvorak and Marcelo Nunes Win Muay Thai Bouts
Antonio Dvorak and Marcelo Nunes both accepted last minute fight opportunities in Rochester, MN over the weekend in Muay Thai fights. Marcelo Nunes faced the tough MMA veteran, Derek Abrams while Antonio Dvorak took on 2-1, heavyweight, Aron Dumais.
Marcelo entered the ring first and made short work of Abrams. Marcelo landed a few vicious leg kicks early in the round followed by a stiff kick to the body which Abrams attempted to block with only one arm. With his arm and legs hurting Abrams decided not to continue at :46 seconds into the first round.
Antonio fought later on the show against Rochester’s Aaron Dumais. The two exchanged a blows early in the match, but Antonio soon used his strength advantage to pin Dumais against the ropes and land strong knee strikes to the body and legs. This continued for all 4 rounds of the bout. In the final :10 seconds Antonio created space and landed a few jabs followed by a huge uppercut that split Dumais’ eye open. The bell rang shortly afterwards and Antonio was awarded a unanimous decision win.
