Caleb Merth had a very impressive showing Saturday night at Fearless Fighting Championship 14 at Black Bear Casino in Cloquet, MN. The 1-0 Merth was matched against a tough hometown fighter in 2-0 Ben McNeally. Merth threw some excellent combinations on his feet and defended well against McNeally by catching several of his kicks and countering back. He also scored a quick takedown and some nice shots from the top during the scramble back to standing. About halfway through the round Merth landed a huge right hand that dropped McNeally to the canvas, Merth than quickly pounced with very fast and strong ground and pound to get the TKO finish in the very first round. Caleb Merth brings his amateur record to 2-0 with the win. Congratulations Caleb!
